I have been through many articles on forums and websites where people have talked about making more from AdSense. Almost all those tips are true and most of the publishers are aware of such tips. I would like to put forward some of my AdSense tips which made me almost double my AdSense income lately. I am sorry if all these tips are known to you but I am sure it will help some of you guys.

 

1. Use Ad Units - Many people tend to think that Ad Units pay very less or have a lot CTR. This is not true. Ad Units can be placed at places where people click it assuming them to be a site menu or something of that sort.

 

2. Change your ads postion - A frequent visitor to your site knows you have that column to the right which are ads. He will always ignore that part of your site no matter what page he is visiting. This can be changed by having ads at different places on different pages. For e.g You can have a rectangle to top right on a page and move it to left on the next page. You are bound to get a higher CTR by doing this.

 

3. Keep it blue - Every human being using the Internet now knows that links are always blue. Keeping your ads blue tells people that it is a link and should be clicked.

 

4. Avoid ads attraction - Avoid using irrelevant bright colors on ads. This does attract people towards the ad but also tells them that it is an ad. People now are used to such bright colored and flashing banners. Always keep it simple. Make sure your ad colors match the colors on your page.

 

5. Use that Ad filter - Google has provided an option to filter ads. Make sure that you go thorugh your ads every 2 days and filter out ads from irrelevant sites filled with no information and only ads. Never ever ignore this point…this is a very important aspect to increase your click rates.

 

6. Use image ads - Keep looking for spots on your page which are either blank or useless. You can add some image ads to such spots and expect nice income through cpm ads in some time.

 

7. Use the search bar - Use the Google search bar at places where people tend to leave your site. A perfect place for the search bar can be below an article. Make your visitors earn you some money while they are leaving your site. This also gives them an option to look for something which they did not find on your site.
