Google AdSense team has started a weekly series beginning with ‘Policy Thursdays’. This means on every thursday they would be talking about Google AdSense policies, the don’ts etc. This will ensure that our sites remain in good faith with Google AdSense. Two posts have been made in Google Groups this thursday out of which one talks strictly about the medium of traffic. This seems like a warning from the AdSense team to all publishers who are getting traffic by unwanted means like auto surf, paid to click, & click exchange programs. Further, they say that they cannot tell publishers if a particular traffic exchange program would get them banned or not. I personally feel it’s a bad idea to take part in such programs. Google AdSense team also warn people “again” for providing incentives to visitors for clicking ads. Such activities might be helpful for publishers but are harmful for advertisers and will get users disabled from the Google AdSense. The post once again asks users to stay in line with the guidelines and always provide unique and relevant content on their websites. Questions can be asked about the policies and all of them will be posted to Google groups for discussions.
I am sure with this kind of information there will be more publishers logging on to Google groups especially on Thursdays. A good step by Google to keep their publishers reminding of various policies and TOS. Does this also come as a warning and notification that many users will be banned soon?
