Name ‘Flash’ for Flash Memory

Nero Burning Rom

Nero Burning Rom was named after Roman Emperor Nero, who is supposed to have been playing his lyre while Rome burned - though that’s apocryphal. And the process is called ‘burning’. Is this sheer genius or cheesy copywriting?
