Since the start of blogging world there have been many programs which involved sharing of things. Programs like Blogrush, MyBloglog are huge hits. I personally think that all programs have their pros and cons for e.g. Blogrush is much favorable for blogs which have huge traffic.

 

A new program is launched recently called Entrecard. This is a nice system and I feel a bit difficult to understand. I got to know more about it after carefully reading their website. All you have to do is sign up on their website and display your Entrecard. The card displays a 125 x 125 advertisement of members in the program. I will explain how it works and how you can advertise your blog for free using this program.

 

The program involves of dealing in credits. The main objective here is to have more credits. Credits can be used to buy advertising spots on any blog which is involved in this program. Of course, the blog owner has to approve your advertisement before it shows on hi/her blog. When we talk of buying credits, it does not mean there is any money involved in this. The entire program is free and doesn’t involve spending a penny. Sounds cool doesn’t it?

 

To earn credits all you have to do is drop cards on other’s blogs. To drop a card, you need to visit a blog that has an entrecard and click on the ‘drop yours’ yellow button at the bottom of the card. You start collecting credits by dropping cards on other blogs. Every blog has some amount of credits which has to be spent for advertising on that blog. A very high traffic blog of someone like John Chow requires around 251+ credits. Which means once you have 251 credits, you can advertise your ad on his blog for free (provided John Chow accepts your ad). Now this is really cool because John charges $500 per month for one 125 x 125 button advert to be placed on his blog.

1. Drop as many cards on members who are most active. Target new and most popular members.

 

2. Keep your card in a nice area on your blog which is easily available. Above the fold is always recommended.

 

3. Create an attractive card. Attractive images gain more attention and also the changes of your advertisement being accepted are high. No one would like     to have a ugly looking ad/image on their blog.
