Never Book a Movie Ticket Online

Last week my friend and I decided to watch this movie called Lage Raho Munnabhai at Cinemax. I was at work and decided to buy tickets online for the 9.30 PM show. The online booking screen was acting weird #-o…at times it showed alot of seats already taken and at the very next second it would show them empty. I called up the Cinemax number and asked them whats up with this and can I take 2 seats in the G row for the 9.30 Pm show..The lady said ‘Yes Sir, you can’. I selected the two seats and made payment using my credit card. I was shocked to see the message I got after the transaction was over. The message said “Your payment has been received but the tickets are not booked”…:))!!!! Is this a joke? Below this message it said you need to take a print of this and fax it to Cinemax :O. I called Cinemax again and asked them whats happening with this? The lady said she will call me within 30 mins. I waited for an hour and there was no call. I reached home and called them again at 7.00 PM…It was a guy this time and he said the same thing that he will call me within 30 mins. I called them again 45 mins later and asked them if I’ll be getting my money or the tickets…The lady this time said that I have to fax the print to them and she wont accept it if I submit it personally.

I was really mad by this time ~x( and asked her to credit the amount back to my credit card…she says I have to go there and show my credit card only after which my amount will be credited back. I asked her to simply credit back the same card from where you have got the money…..This lady says No sir we cant do this …this might lead to crediting someone elses card…You please come here and show us your card…..Now this was a real comedy show…I went to Cinemax… met a supervisor …explained him the story…he took the print out of that weird message, my CC details and said “Sir your money will be debited back to your account in a MONTH OR TWO”. I was shocked for the third time :O to hear this and had to leave after buying tickets for the next show. If any of you are trying to buy movie tickets online from Cinemax please think twice. Online booking for Cinemax is nothing but a big MESS !!!
