Ways to make money online

Internet has become a nice medium to communicate, share knowledge, be up to date on latest news and earn money online. Earning money online is not as easy as it seems to be. Earning money, online is as tough as earning money offline…the only difference lies in the ways and the comfort. Sitting comfortably in your house and spending time as per your wish on your money making websites is far more better than reaching work on time, sitting there till your boss leaves, asking for holidays/breaks etc. Do you think you can earn money online? If you think you cannot only if you are 1. Dumb 2. Lazy 3. Rich Enough (None of the smart rich people would ever say that though). This might sound “impossible” but with my experience on the Internet and the options available now, I think anyone and almost everyone can make money on the Internet without investing a single penny.

Here are some basic requirements you need before planning to make money online:

1. Your ability to use the computer. (This involves just moving the mouse properly and typing.)

2. Your ability to spend some time on the Internet. (This actually depends on how much money you want to make on the Internet)

3. SERIOUSNESS – You can make money online only if you are serious about it. Making money online has to be treated similar to making money offline which is your job or some business.

Alright, you think you have those basic requirements with you? Now lets start and make the first dollar.

Here are your options:

1. Making money online with Pay Per Click Advertising – Making money online with Pay Per Click means you need to have a blog or a website where you can share things that interest you. Depending on your interest and expertise, people will visit your site quite frequently and click on your ads. For every click you will be paid some amount by the advertiser. All you have to do is sign up with a Pay Per Click advertising program for free and start displaying their code on your webpage or blog. Getting your website ready can be done free of cost just by Googling like this. The best Pay Per Click program I would recommend is Google AdSense. There are a few other good programs as well but I would recommend you to use them only if Google does not like you. Other PPC (Pay Per Click) programs include YPN and Bidvertiser, More of such programs can also be found by searching Google on terms “Pay Per Click programs”. My ebook on How to start with a successful website will help people who are finding it tough to build websites.

2. Affiliates – Earning through affiliates means selling other’s products and getting paid for same. This might not be as easy as the first example of Pay Per Click websites but a lot profitable. There are only two most important and difficult tasks to perform for earning money through affiliate programs. Task 1 is to bring a potential buyer to your website/webpage and Task 2 is to make that per son actually buy the product. Achieving Task 1 really does the trick only if you try and pull right people to your website. For e.g. A person reaching your website who has already decided of buying a particular product. When this person reaches your website, you have half the battle won. Products you can advertise can be found at Commission Junction and Click Bank. Providing your visitor relevant products actually depends on what you are selling and how you are inviting him to your page. This means targeting your audience is also very important. You cannot target audience in the UK when you are selling a product that cannot be shipped out of the United States. Many people will not openly talk about the secrets they have implemented in getting good targeted traffic and converting them to buy products. I would recommend The Affiliate Toolbox for someone who would like to know the tips and tricks to earn money online this way.

3. Does this mean it is must to have a website in order to make money online? The answer is NO. If you are a professional in a particular skill, you can easily find people online who can hire you for your services. Many people on forums like digitalpoint and v7n are always searching for good designers, developers, search engine marketers etc. You can easily provide services to these people and get paid by online money transfers or something like PayPal. You may also sign up for Rent A Coder where you can get orders for design and development of web pages or softwares. Many people I know are earning full time by getting such online jobs.

4. Apart from the top 3 there are various other means to make money which includes paid for filling surveys, paid for reading emails etc. I haven’t tried these services yet but can be tried by any of you guys. This post is just a brief explanation on ways to make money online. There are several other ways to do it which I will be posting on this blog. Also there are various tricks and tips which I will share to help you make maximum money out of Affiliate marketing and Pay Per Click.
