Wikia alpha search made live

Wikia Search alpha is online. I have played around with this new search. The most exciting feature is the profile of people which gets listed with keywords. this makes very easy to find information about a person. I tried to search Matt Cutts and I found him right there with a couple of pictures. Now to find more about him, all I have to do is check out his profile. This profile is created by the user and he/she can make it private or public. You can also make friends with people having their profile and send messages to them.

Good things in Wikia Search:

1. Personal profile.
2. Wikipedia pages are not listed high. :d

Bad things noticed:

1. Search is very slow.
2. Spam/Porn/MFA sites listed high.
3. Cache pages are crawled.
4. Does not list much of my sites
5. Lot of bugs.

I have noticed lot of sites listed on Wikia Search are listed in Dmoz. I am sure they will improvise on the bugs and search results as they grow.
